The Summer Reading Club for 2009 is "Get Creative @ Your Library"
IMPORTANT NEWS 6/15/09 ~ CHANGE TO SUMMER PROGRAM:
The renovation project, taking place at the North Arlington Public Library, will cause the library to remain closed thus interfering with the previously scheduled summer program. Good news... "Get Creative @ Your Library," is NOT cancelled! However some changes, relocations and cancellations were necessary. If your child is registered for the summer program it is important to view the revised flier (Summer Reading 2009 Revised Flier). The dates and locations may be further altered, but we will make every effort to inform you. In addition to our regular classes we offer Special Events. Some changes have been made to the events previously announced. Click here for the most up to date list of Special Events.
Numerous studies have shown that summer programs help ensure that school children retain reading and learning skills over the summer recess (Source: American Library Association). The Juvenile Department Staff has once again developed a program, designed around a national theme, which will keep children excited about reading and learning during the summer months. You are warmly invited to participate in Get Creative @ Your Library!
